Just two-and-a-half hours from Johannesburg lies a hidden oasis—Babirwa Golf & Bush Lodge, an exclusive retreat set in indigenous bushveld with sweeping views of rolling hills and the soothing sounds of birdsong. It’s the perfect getaway where your only decisions are whether to relax by the pool, explore the mountain bike trails, enjoy a game drive, or simply unwind with sundowners as you watch the African sunset.

This private lodge is ideal for families, groups, or corporate retreats, offering luxurious accommodation and a daily breakfast and dinner package that caters to your every need. Babirwa provides a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life—immersed in nature, yet with every luxury you could wish for. Lunch and Drinks are not included.

ACCOMMODATION:
Babirwa Golf & Bush Lodge features 3 luxurious villas, each offering refined elegance and comfort:

Presidential Villa: 2 suites with a private lounge, fireplace, bar, kitchen, and heated infinity pool.
This villa is exclusively for four adults (no children).

• Elephant Suite: A king-size bedroom with a walk-in dressing room, outdoor shower, and work desk. Maximum of 2 adults.
• Lion Suite: Similar to the Elephant Suite, with a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, and outdoor shower. Maximum of 2 adults.

Elephant Villa (2 suites):

• Wildebeest Suite: King-size bed, sleeper couch for children, en-suite bathroom, and private balcony. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children.
• Oryx Suite: Same as Wildebeest Suite, with a kitchenette and balcony. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children.

Buffalo Villa (2 suites):

• Buffalo Suite: King-size bed, sleeper couch for children, en-suite bathroom, and private balcony. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children.
• Giraffe Suite: King-size bed, sleeper couch for children, en-suite bathroom, and private balcony. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children.

At Babirwa, it’s all about luxury and adventure. Guests can enjoy:

• Game Drives, Bird Watching, and Fishing in the heart of the bush
• Mountain Biking and Guided Hikes through breathtaking landscapes
• Canoeing on the lodge's scenic lake
• Golf on the exclusive 9-hole course (no additional cost)
  
  * NB: All activities are included in your stay, but lunch is arranged separately (drinks are for guest’s separate account).

Damage Protection:
This property is protected by Just Be Lekker (JBL), the travel reputation platform. Guests are required to pay a R800 non-refundable damage waiver fee (R10,000 worth of accidental damage cover) OR have a R10,000 refundable security deposit hold placed on their card to gain access to the property. The guest will be sent a link by JBL to verify their booking.

Please note that should a guest choose the refundable security deposit, a R47 service fee will be charged by JBL. This fee covers the cost of verifying the booking and ensuring the property's protection. Just Be Lekker aims to provide a secure and reliable booking experience for all guests.

While the security deposit / damage waiver fee will be processed 1 day before check-in, we advise you to complete the JBL verification process as soon as possible to avoid any complications with your booking

Late Check-ins:
In case of a late check-in after 7pm on Saturdays to Thursdays and 10pm on Fridays, a standard late check-in fee of R750 will apply.

Documentation & Processes:
We require all documentation and processes to be completed before 12 pm the day prior to check-in. Failure to do so will result in a late penalty fee of R350
